Rinse the LatteGo Pro milk system in seconds, empty the grounds container and drip tray, and access key components like the brew unit for quick cleaning. Cleaning LatteGo Pro
Clean LatteGo Pro after each use. Remove LatteGo Pro from machine. Pour our unused milk. Press release button to remove milk container from frame. Rinse under lukewarm tap water or place in the dishwasher. Place container back into frame. Attach to machine.
Machine Maintenance
Cleaning coffee grounds container, empty grounds container weekly. Or when you get an alert on your machine. Pull out drip tray and remove grounds container. Rinse under tap with dishwashing liquid, or place in dishwasher. The front pane isn't dishwasher safe. Place ground container back into drip tray. Slide drip tray back into machine.
Cleaning drip tray
Empty the drip tray daily or when the red indicator pops up. Separate grounds container from the drip tray. Rinse under tap water or place in dishwasher. All parts of the tray are dishwasher safe.
Cleaning water tank
Clean the water tank weekly. Remove water tank by sliding it towards you. Rinse under tap water. Fill with fresh water up to the MAX indicator. Slide the tank back into the machine.
Cleaning brew unit
Clean the brew unit weekly, or when you get an alert on your machine. Go to maintenance> Clean Brew Unit, then tap "Start". Start by removing the water tank. Open service door on the side of your machine. Move handle to the right to unlock brew unit. Pull it out towards you. wash under tap water. Let it air dry or dry with a soft, damp cloth. Place brew unit back into machine. Move handle to the left to lock again. Close service door and slide the water tank back in.
Replacing AquaClean filter
AquaClean filter prolongs the time between descaling and keep your coffee tasting great. Replace the filter every 3 months or when you get an alert on your machine. To replace the filter, go to maintenance> Remove Limescale. Select the "AquaClean" tab. tap on "replace" to start the process. Your machine will give you step-by-step instructions. Remove LatteGo Pro if attached. Unwrap the new filter and shake it for 5 seconds. Submerge filter upside down in a bowl of cold water. wait until no more air bubbles come out. Remove the water tank and empty it. Remove the expired filter. Holding the new filter vertically, press it onto the connection point in the tank. Press it down to the lowest possible point in the tank.
Fill water tank with fresh water and place back into the machine. Place a container under the hot waterspout. Fill water tank with fresh water and place back into the machine. The filter status will go back to "Good" as well.
Descaling
Descale your machine whenever you get an alert on your machine. You can prolong the time between descaling by using AquaClean filter. Use Philips decalcifying solution.
To run a descaling cycle go to Maintenance>Remove Limescale. Tap "Descale button" to start and follow instructions on the screen. Remove LatteGo Pro if attached. Remove the drip tray and the coffee grounds container. Empty and rinse the tray and container. Place them back into the machine. Remove the water tank and empty it. Remove the AquaClean filter, if present. Pour the complete bottle of Philips descaler into the water tank. Fill the water tank with water up to the Calc/Clean indication and place it back into the machine. Place a large container under the spout and tap "Start" to begin the descaling cycle. This takes 10-15 minutes. It's done when the machine stops dispensing water.
Stay close by in case you need to pause and empty the container. Remove water tank and rinse. Refill tank up to the Calc/Clean indication and place it back into the machine. Place the container back under the spout and tap "Start" to begin the final cycle. This takes 5-7 minutes. It's done when the machine stops dispensing water. When complete, a success message will appear on the screen, and the machine will be ready to use.
Quickly clean LatteGo Pro
Have leftover milk? Quickly clean LatteGo Pro spout before storing in fridge. Go to Maintenance dashboard under Menu and select "Clean LatteGo Pro". Tap "Start" button and follow instructions. Make sure LatteGo Pro is properly attached. Place a cup under the LatteGo spout. Tap "Next" button to activate the program. This will take a few seconds. When complete, store LatteGo Pro in the fridge.
