My Baristina portafilter is stuck
My Philips Baristina Espresso Machine’s portafilter is stuck
If you are having difficulty removing the portafilter from your Philips Baristina Espresso Machine, follow these tips to help you remove it.
The machine is still brewing coffee
While the brewing process is in progress and the selected drink LED light blinks slowly, removing the portafilter is not possible. Wait until all LEDs are off before you remove the portafilter.
The brewing or descaling process has been interrupted
If one of these processes is interrupted, the machine needs some time to return to the starting position. During this process, all three LEDs start blinking slowly and the portafilter cannot be removed.
All three LEDs keep blinking
When all three LEDs blink, it indicates that the machine is attempting to return to its neutral position. If the blinking persists for an extended period of time, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
-
Unplug the machine and wait for 15 seconds before plugging it back in.
-
Once plugged back in, the machine will attempt to solve the problem, which you can identify by the slow blinking of all three lights.
-
When the blinking stops, try again to remove the portafilter.
If the issue still persists, repeat the steps mentioned above (steps 1 to 3) once more.
If none of these steps work, then the machine may require servicing. In such a case, please contact us for further assistance.
