My coffee temperature is too low
My Philips Baristina Espresso Machine’s coffee temperature is not warm
If your Philips Baristina Espresso Machine does not make warm enough coffee, try these tips to improve the temperature.
Preheat the cup before brewing a drink
To get the best taste out of your coffee, it is important to preheat your cup. A cold cup can reduce the temperature of the drink and affect the flavor. To preheat your cup, rinse it with hot water before brewing the coffee.
Alternatively, you can use the rinsing function to preheat your cup and system. Here are the steps to follow:
-
Insert the portafilter into the machine.
-
Fill the water tank with fresh water and place it back in the machine.
-
Place your cup or coffee mug with a volume of at least 150 ml under the coffee spout.
-
Press and hold the Boost button for five seconds until the button starts blinking slowly.
-
The machine heats up and starts rinsing water from the coffee spout into the cup. The boost button will continue to blink slowly during this process.
-
When the boost light stops blinking, the machine is done rinsing.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your coffee is brewed at the right temperature and has the best possible taste.
Adding milk to the coffee
Please note that adding cold or steamed froth milk to coffee reduces its temperature.
The machine needs to be descaled
Over time, limescale can accumulate inside your coffee machine, which can lower the temperature of your coffee. To solve this problem, you can refer to the User Manual or visit our Consumer Care page where you can find the article titled "How to descale my Philips Baristina Espresso Machine."
