There is coffee ground / waste on my base
My Philips Baristina Espresso Machine has coffee powder on its base
If there is coffee powder on the lower drip tray of your Philips Baristina Espresso Machine, you can find the solution in our article below.
The portafilter was overfilled
If there is coffee powder on the base of the machine, the previous brew was probably made with an overfilled portafilter. This means that the old coffee puck was not removed before starting a new brew. To solve this, follow the steps below:
-
Remove the portafilter, empty and rinse it.
Note: If the portafilter is still in the grind position, first move the portafilter back to the left manually. This might take some force.
-
Remove all the coffee powder that has fallen onto the portafilter.
-
Insert the portafilter and swipe to the right to brew a new coffee.
-
You may notice some coffee grounds still fall out in your next brew, however, after a few brews these particles will not fall anymore.
Afterward, make sure to clean both the portafilter and lower drip tray.
